What if you could eat great tasting food that was also good for you, helped you feel your best, and provided an exit strategy from unproductive cycles of yo-yo dieting? The Eating Enchanted Cookbook will show you how. Countless people realize the need to change what they eat and are searching for a realistic and sustainable solution that empowers them to live their best lives. Others already eat healthy, but need additional well crafted recipes that provide new and interesting options. Whether cooking for one, or for an entire family, it can be difficult to sustain the intersection between “delicious” and “healthy”, but it can be done! The Eating Enchanted Cookbook will inspire you to prepare delicious and nourishing meals, snacks, desserts, and even “skinny” cocktails. The recipes present exciting options that delight your tastebuds, leave you feeling satisfied, and empower you to live a healthy lifestyle. With a focus on both flavor and real food ingredients, all recipes are also gluten free. In addition, most recipes are grain free, dairy free, low carb, low glycemic, keto friendly, and include many options for vegetarians, vegans and pescatarians. Marla Groves applied her culinary training, lifelong passion for cooking, experience living abroad, and love for family, friends and fitness, to create this collection of recipes. They will empower you to make food that you and your family will truly enjoy. When you love the food you eat, it’s easy to stay on course with a sustainable healthy lifestyle.

This book was lovingly written by Marla Groves. Marla is passionate about connecting with others through food, and her extensive international travels — including time living in Italy and Thailand — have influenced her palate and her recipes.

After graduating from the University of Arizona, Marla began recipe writing during her twenties as a creative outlet from her financial services career. In 2003, she graduated from the baking and pastry program at The Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, CA. Marla combined baking and pastry knowledge with a lifelong love for savory dishes, to prepare interesting and healthy meals for her family and friends.  She has included those tried and tested recipes in this book.

After the birth of her second child, at age 38, Marla made a lifestyle change of effective exercise and a well thought out overhaul of what she was eating. Those lifestyle changes have been sustained for over a decade and are fundamental to why Marla feels better now at age 50 than she did at 30.

Marla is devoted to creating healthy recipes that are both delicious and nourishing. Her philosophy on sustainable healthy eating focuses on a positive and balanced approach.  Although not a dietician, Marla is keenly attuned to nutrition and gut health which guides her choice of ingredients for all recipes.

This is Marla’s first cookbook of her own. She helped test and select recipes for a Junior League of Denver cookbook published in 2009. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, two children and golden retriever.
